The vocabulary is small. The confidence is not. Eight words will get you
through any rally.
- The best
- Applied to the wall, the crown, the grass, the weather, and on one occasion to a
rival's funeral. Carries no information whatsoever and is the most used word in the
campaign.
- Fake news
- Any account of events in which he does not come out ahead. Includes photographs,
recordings, arithmetic, and the scoreboard.
- Many are saying
- Nobody is saying. He is saying. The plural is doing all of the work in the sentence
and it is not being paid for it.
- Tremendous
- Large. Or small, if the small thing is his. Size in this dictionary is a loyalty
test rather than a measurement.
- We'll see what happens
- He does not know and has decided that not knowing, said slowly enough, is a
position.
- Sir
- Always the first word of a story he is about to tell about himself. The character
who says it has never been identified, is always enormous, and is frequently crying.
- Nobody knew
- Everybody knew. It had been on the front of the herd bulletin for a fortnight. He
had not known, and the herd has been resized to fit.
- A perfect trumpet
- Any noise he has made that is currently the subject of an inquiry. The adjective is
applied at the moment the inquiry opens and never afterwards withdrawn.
The Yes-Herd is fluent. The Media Hyenas are not, which
is offered as further proof.
